Growing and Maintenance Tips:


Grows best in a moist to wet soil, in full sun. Spreading by rhizomes and above-ground runners, this plant can be weedy or invasive.

Additional Notes about Spearmint:


Introduced to Ontario and has widely spread throughout North America.

Spearmint oils are used in flavouring chewing gum, toothpaste and mouthwash. It is also used for culinary and medicinal purposes and in fragrances.
