Native to Ontario

A hybrid cross between M. aquatica x M. spicata. Peppermint oils are used in flavouring chewing gum, toothpaste and mouthwash. It is also used for culinary and medicinal purposes and in fragrances.

The flowers produce nectar and pollen, attracting bees, butterflies, and other insects. The fragrant foliage attracts beneficial insects, while theoretically repelling small rodents and mosquitoes.
