  • AKA Anacharis canadensis, Philotria canadensis, Philotria linearis
  • Numerous, overlapping, dark green, fine-toothed leaves which curl slightly downward
  • Inconspicuous, white to pale pink flowers appear on the surface
  • Excellent oxygenator for ponds and lakes
  • Provides a habitat for marine wildlife and a food source for waterfowl
  • Goes dormant during the winter months and sinks to the bottom

Growing and Maintenance Tips:


A freshwater plant that must be grown in shallow to deep, slow-moving or still water. Can be an aggressive plant, so shade will help reduce growth. Helps filter and control algae buildup.
