Growing and Maintenance Tips:


Can be grown as a specimen tree or shrub. Plant in medium moisture and a well-drained soil, however, they will tolerate a wide range of soils. Thrives in some shade and will tolerate full sun only if roots are shaded.

Native to Ontario

Larval host for several species of butterflies and moths, including the Spring Azure and Dogwood Thyatirid. The flowers produce nectar and pollen for butterflies, bees, and other insects. The berries are enjoyed by over 30 species of birds, as well as large and small mammals.
