Allegheny serviceberry tolerates a wide range of soils and conditions. It can be grown as a specimen tree or multi-stemmed shrub.
Larval host for up to 115 moth and butterfly species. Early blooms provide nectar for native bees and other pollinators. The fruit is food for mid-sized birds and small and large mammals.
