Growing and Maintenance Tips:


Commonly occurs in wet meadows, along streambanks, fields and waste areas. Plant in full sun to partial shade in a wet, soggy site or in a medium soil. Typically a short-lived perennial, but it self-seeds easily.

Native to Ontario

Larval host for many lepidoptera. 

The flowers attract many species of bees, wasps, and butterflies. Many birds enjoy the seeds.
