Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Grows best in an average to moist, well-drained soil in full sun. It will tolerate some shade but may grow leggy and need support. Deadheading will help prevent unwanted seeding and possibly extend bloom time. Will withstand hot, humid summers and has a good tolerance to drought. Leaving finished flowers will provide both winter interest and food for birds. A biennial that is a very prolific seeder and flowers from its first year's germination.
