Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Grows best in slow moving water with a preferred depth of 1.5-2 meters. It can form a dense colony completely covering the water's surface with leaves.

Additional Notes about White Waterlily:

Native to Ontario

The leaves shade the water, keeping it cool, and provide cover for various aquatic creatures. The foliage, including the rhizomes, is consumed by beavers, porcupines and other mammals. The flowers are pollinated by insects such as flies, beetles and bees, while the seeds feed swans and other waterfowl.
