Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Thrives in a sandy, coarse soil, however, it can tolerate most conditions as long as it is dry.

Additional Notes about Windflower:

Native to Ontario.

The pollen produced by the flowers supports native bees and other pollinators. Seeds feed small birds, but the foliage is not usually browsed by animals, since it contains toxins.
Fresh sap may cause skin inflammation and blistering on sensitive skin, and if ingested, can adversely affect the stomach and/or the heart.
