Growing and Maintenance Tips:


Xanthorhiza grows best in dappled shade, in a slightly acidic soil, and may show signs of chlorosis in high pH locations. Can be grown along streambanks where temporary flooding may occur, or in a formal landscape border, where it can be cut back in early spring for a tidier look.
