Additional Notes about Lowbush Blueberry:

Native to Ontario

Vaccinium angustifolium is fire tolerant and its numbers often increase in an area following a forest fire.

The flowers are cross-pollinated by various types of bees seeking pollen and nectar. The leaves and stems feed many species of flies and some beetles. The fruit feeds everything from bears to terestrial turtles and birds.
