Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Pieris grows best in constant moisture, (but not standing water), in a fertile soil with a low pH. Seed capsules should be removed to promote next year's flower. Young plants can benefit from protection (burlap wrap) against drying, winter winds and winter sun in an exposed location. Use in a mixed border or for foundation plantings.

Additional Notes about Flaming Silver Japanese Pieris:

This cultivar is a variegated sport discovered in Holland on the hybrid Pieris japonica 'Forest Flame'.
