Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Phlox carolina grows best in an average to moist, well-drained soil, in dappled shade. Provide good air circulation when choosing a location for this species to reduce the potential of powdery mildew issues. Cut back after flowering to encourage fresh growth and a more tidy habit. Pruning foliage may encourage the occasional flower in the fall.
