Growing and Maintenance Tips:

While metasequoia have the appearance of an evergreen, they shed their needles every fall. Typically branched to the ground, they can be pruned up to expose the trunk. Tolerant of a wide variety of conditions, they make an unusual statement. 'Gold Rush' is especially showy.
