Growing and Maintenance Tips:


This plant will tolerate many types of soil, rocky or dry, but not moist, low areas. It grows best in full sun, however, it will tolerate some light shade.

Native to Ontario

Larval host for several native moths, including The Polyphemous Moth.  Significant nectar source for hummingbirds, moths, and butterflies including the colourful Western Tiger Swallowtail. The berries are enjoyed by midsized birds and large and small mammals.
