Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Ilex grow best in a slightly acidic, slightly moist, well-drained soil, in full sun to partial shade. This 'marriage' benefits from an occasional pruning to keep the dense form, as they can become leggy as they mature.

Additional Notes about Berri Magic® Holly:

Hollies are dioecious: plants are either male or female. If berries are desired, one compatible male ilex plant will effectively pollinate up to six female plants, from up to 15 metres away.

Ilex berries can be harmful; they contain an alkaloid similar to caffeine.
