Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Best grown in a moist to average, rich, humus soil, in full or dappled sun. Claytonia is tough and can survive  environmental degradation more than most spring blooming natives. Foliage continues to grow for a short period after blooming, before the tuber or corm goes back into dormancy, which is usually in late spring-early summer.
