Easy to grow, this Ontario native perennial does well in partial to full shade landscapes. Pinching stems in early summer will increase bushiness. Grows best in average to medium soil moisture, also tolerating dry locations.
Listed as a threatened species in Canada by SARA (Species at Risk Act).
Attracts butterflies and many other insects. Seeds provide winter food for songbirds.
