Growing and Maintenance Tips:


Best grown in a poor to moderately fertile soil, or dry to average and well-drained. Good soil drainage is key when growing artemisia, too much moisture can cause root rot. Pruning or shaping the plant mid-season is recommended to reduce flopping.

Native to Ontario

Larval host for Painted Lady and American Lady butterflies. In the wild, the foliage is browsed by rodents, mule deer, antelope and elk.
