Growing and Maintenance Tips:


Rhododendrons require constant moisture (but not standing water), a fertile soil with a low pH and grow best in partial shade. Any pruning should be done soon after flowering to ensure bud set. Plants can benefit from protection (burlap wrap) against drying winter winds and sun in an exposed location.

The flowers on Rhododendron 'Ramapo' are not fragrant, but the leaves emit a light scent of pine.
