Growing and Maintenance Tips:


Rhododendrons require constant moisture (but not standing water), a fertile soil with a low pH and grow best in partial shade. Any pruning should be done soon after flowering to ensure bud set. Plants can benefit from protection (burlap wrap) against drying winter winds and sun in an exposed location.

'Bubblegum' was hybridized/introduced by Briggs Nursery, Elma, Washington State, United States.

A chemically induced tetraploid of 'Weston's Aglo'.

Elepidote: Without scales, as opposed to lepidote. Large leaf.

Lepidote: Having scales. Tiny scales typically cover the undersides of the leaves. Small leaf.
