This pine is naturally an open grower, however, pinching the candles mid-spring will encourage a more compact form. This is a pine cultivar with unique visual appeal.
Slight susceptibility to White Pine Blister Rust: avoid planting near currants or gooseberries, which are an alternate host for the disease.
