Growing and Maintenance Tips:


Thrives in full sun, consistently moist to periodically wet conditions and a soil that is slightly acidic to alkaline. Natural habitats include borders of ponds and streams and roadside ditches.

Plugs are sold in full flats only.

Additional Notes about Torrey's Rush:


Native to Ontario.

Larval host for several insect species. Seeds and seedheads are eaten by waterfowl, songbirds, and other birds, as well as small mammals. The small seeds are sticky, which helps them get distributed to new locations, by feet, fur, and feathers.
