Growing and Maintenance Tips:


Ilex grow best in a slightly acidic, slightly moist, well-drained soil, in full sun to partial shade. 

Additional Notes about Little Rascal® Holly:


Hollies are dioecious: plants are either male or female. If berries are desired, one compatible male ilex plant will effectively pollinate up to six female plants, from up to 15 metres away.

This Ilex was found at Monrovia Nurseries in 1996, as a naturally-occurring mutation of the blue holly 'Blue Boy'.
