Growing and Maintenance Tips:


Tolerant of a range of soils and pH but grows best in a well-drained soil, in full sun or light shade. Heptacodium can be trained or pruned into tree form.

Additional Notes about Seven-Son Flower:


Was once considered nearly extinct in the wild due to habitat loss and deforestation in its native China. The discovery of viable seeds lead to its reintroduction into cultivation and the establishment of protected populations in botanical gardens and nurseries.  It is still considered to be under threat of extinction in the wild.
