Galanthus bulbs should be planted approximately 5-7cm below soil level. Galanthus will tolerate full sun or part shade, and will be very happy under the edge of a deciduous tree, where it will enjoy full sun in spring, leading to shade in summer.
Some people have a reaction to light toxins on the bulbs. Galanthus is not native, but has naturalized in some places in North America.
