Growing and Maintenance Tips:


Very desirable fruit make this plant worth the work to grow in our climate. Wood frame structures clad with clear plastic can be built to protect the figs that are planted in the ground. Figs planted in containers should be placed in a protected place for the winter. 

Additional Notes about Desert King Common Fig:


The Desert King produces fruit two years after planting and fruit on both new and old wood.  Fruiting mid-summer producing plentiful fruits with a mildly yellow green skin and a blazing red interior. These trees are low maintenance and will thrive in the full sun. An attractive tree for garden or landscape.
