Growing and Maintenance Tips:

This daphne makes an excellent statement in a garden, having extremely fragrant flowers and brightly variegated leaves. A deciduous specimen requiring periodic pruning as damage  or stem breakage may occur in the winter from ice and snow accumulation. Daphnes are finicky, with very specific cultural requirements and hard to grow. Planting in locations exposed to cold, drying, winter winds and full sun is not recommended. They benefit from low pH, controlled watering and a well-drained soil.
