A graceful ornamental flowering cherry tree, Prunus sargentii makes a showy addition to any landscape. The fruit of this cultivar is inedible to humans.  Sargent cherry has good resistance to most pests that typically afflict Prunus.

Additional Notes about Sargent Cherry:


Origin Japan: introduced to the U.S. in the early 1900s, and named after the first director of the Arnold Arboretum in Cambridge, Massachusets.
