Growing and Maintenance Tips:

This dwarf cultivar of  Austrian pine makes a wonderful accent in a rock garden, with its coarse texture and mounding to prostrate growth habit. A very low maintenance specimen for any conifer collector's garden.

To improve looks and airflow, these plants would benefit from periodic 'combing' (use your fingers) to remove dead material.

Additional Notes about Dwarf Austrian Pine:

'Hornibrookiana" originated from a witch's broom on an Austrian pine in New York's Seneca Park in 1932.
