Growing and Maintenance Tips:


Grows in most soil types, in shade or sunny locations, and is drought tolerant when established. This plant spreads rapidly by stem roots, so it is recommended to plant it in a contained location. Prune plants to help maintain shape. Clippings should not be included in compost.

Invasive species.

Consider the native Foamflower, Tiarella cordifolia, or Wild Ginger, Asarum canadensis, for similar conditions.
