With their open growing habit and smaller leaves, locust provide a pleasing, filtered light. Locusts are popular street trees as their foliage make leaf litter almost non-existent. A unique specimen in any landscape.

'Discovered' in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Prairie Silk is the hardiest Locust cultivar released commercially (so far).
