Thrives in a moist, fertile, humus-rich soil that is well-drained. Dicentra need protection from hot afternoon sun. Pinch back spent flowers to encourage a longer bloom time. If the soil dries out, it may push the plant into premature dormancy.
A hybrid cross involving three parents: Dicentra eximia, Dicentra peregrina, Dicentra formosa.
All parts of the plants are toxic to human beings, cats, and cattle. Don't eat it; enjoy it.
