Growing and Maintenance Tips:

It grows best in full sun to partial shade and a soil that is moist, providing it is well-drained. Pruning out the lower branches will expose more of the visually appealing, exfoliating bark. One of the most disease-free birches, as well as being more heat tolerant than other cultivars. Use as a specimen or in small groupings in any landscape, and in particular for wet soils along ponds, streams or in low areas.  It is typically grown as a multi-stemmed tree.
