Additional Notes about Cherry Bomb® Barberry:

Invasive.Barberries are prolific berry producers. Up to 90% of the berries are viable. Birds eat the berries and drop the seeds far and wide. A plant in the wild will drop seeds that are not eaten, and those seeds will germinate around the original plant, resulting in a thicket of thorny plants that displace native species and, of course, prevent wildlife entry.Consider alternatives such as cultivars of Ilex verticillata or Physocarpos opulifolius.
