Growing and Maintenance Tips:

New World maple grows best in full sun, in an acidic soil that is medium to wet, with good drainage. It is reported to have excellent resistance to leafhopper. The smaller and denser, lateral limbs on a strong, central leader, and fine-toothed leaves are the most notable differences than those of the species. A specimen tree for a lawn, street or park, where its narrow form is needed.
