Growing and Maintenance Tips:


This pine is naturally an open grower, however, pinching the candles mid-spring will encourage a more compact form. Younger plants may need sun protection to prevent the young bark from scorching in the summer.

Additional Notes about Korean Pine:


This pine is similar to the White pine, producing edible pine nuts the size of a pistachio. The harvest of the cones is easy, as they fall to the ground, however, it is much more laborious to remove the nut kernels. Please note, the Korean pine will take 10 to 20 years to produce nuts.
