Narcissus (Daffodil) are an early rising bulb that are one of the first things to bloom in late winter and early spring. Narcissus are cold hardy and can handle cold snaps of snow and frost. Its best to plant them in the fall between September through October while the ground isnt frozen. They should be planted about minimum 3" below the surface or even deeper to 6" in colder regions. Narcissus do not like to be planted in tough clay soils and prefer well draining soils.
Narcissus (daffodils) can handle cold snaps and wont wilt with frost because they have a protective sap that covers there flowers.
