Plant in average, dry to moist, well-drained soil in full sun. May benefit from staking or other support when in flower.
Almost native, and likely present.
The common name suggests a fragrant flower; the leaves are fragrant when crushed or bruised.
Larval host for Silvery Checkerspot Butterfly. Blooming comparatively late, the flowers provide important pollen and nectar to butterflies, skippers and native bees, including some specialist bees. The seeds provide food for many birds and small mammals.
