Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Usually grown as a hedge, Brabant cedars can also be used in groupings for windscreens. This cultivar is a good solution for landscapes where space is an issue, as it has a lower mature height and with its conical or pyramidal form, it is ideal for use as a smaller vertical accent. This cedar typically forms a single leader which resists splitting caused by a heavy snow or ice load. Protection (burlap wrap) from drying winter winds is recommended in an exposed location.

Additional Notes about Brabant Cedar:

This cultivar is one of the more shade-tolerant cedars, ideal for partially shady locations. Deer find the soft evergreen foliage very attractive for winter food and will rapidly strip a plant.
