  • Small pear-shaped fruit pods follow the flower, popping open when ripe
  • Long-stemmed basal leaves with two distinct lobes
  • Leaves are bluish-green in colour, 15 cm long
  • Leaves are small when in the plant is in flower, and reach maturity when the fruit ripens

Growing and Maintenance Tips:


Grows best in a rich, moist, well-drained soil, in partial shade. Leaf mulch is recommended to keep the roots moist and cool. Naturally found, but somewhat rare in deciduous woodlands, near low-lying areas or a river's edge.
