Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Helleborus foetidus is known to self-seed more frequently than other hellebore species. It thrives in an average to moist, well-drained soil, in partial to full shade. At flowering time, they require consistent moisture but are generally drought tolerant during the non-flowering season. They do not like to be moved once established. Remove damaged leaves in late winter (or before the buds appear), to encourage new growth. Disease resistant.

Additional Notes about Stinking Hellebore:

The common name "Stinking Hellebore" is not misleading.
